Signs of Change for Essex Shoppers

Redbridge’s largest shopping centre is undergoing a series of improvements, with an initial re-launch taking place this month. The Exchange shopping centre in Ilford was bought earlier this year by Capital & Regional which owns and manages six shopping centres and has a joint venture involving the Kingfisher Centre in Redditch.

Capital & Regional will be making significant investment in the property and has already introduced a large Kids Free Play area opening this month as well as improvements to a range of facilities within the Centre. As part of the marketing campaign JNB Publishing has supplied and installed a series of freestanding digital posters at the main entrances to the Centre to provide shoppers will current messages as they arrive. Connected to a cloud based content management system, the screens can be programmed and updated remotely using a range of powerful features.

To mark the opening of the Kids Free Play facility JNB Publishing has produced the store opening ribbon that will be cut during the official opening ceremony. Throughout the launch period a promotional team will be wearing branded t-shirts and handing out promotional leaflets and printed balloons to the children – all produced by JNB Publishing.

Throughout October the Centre is running #mygreatilford – a competition aimed at celebrating the town’s historical involvement with film. Shoppers can upload images of Ilford that are displayed on a kiosk within the Exchange where shoppers can vote on their favourite image. Each week the winner will receive a £150 gift card to spend within the Centre. To promote the scheme JNB Publishing has designed an animated graphic for the digital screens, printed collateral and graphics to be applied to internal hoardings.
