One of our customer service goals is to surpass and exceed the expectations of our customers. Of course it is not always possible but we enter into every situation in the hope that we can not only do what is required but maybe add just a little something extra. It’s never been a conscious decision, it’s just the way we are wired up but being on the receiving end of exceptional service really drives home what can come from giving just a little bit more.
Whilst thinking of booking a midweek holiday break I was recommended a farm in Cornwall as an excellent choice for our young family. I hit the website and it seemed to meet all of our requirements; suitable accommodation, activities for the kids and a heated indoor swimming pool. Being a little unsure I rang the venue to ask a few questions and received a very friendly and helpful response which convinced me to book.
I was nervous about going somewhere new (hardly an adventurous attitude) and arrived with some hesitation over whether we had made the right decision. This fear evaporated as we entered the immaculate cottage, as clean as anything you could imagine and stepped into the stylishly designed kitchen. On the table we were met with freshly baked scones, a bowl of jam and a visit the fridge confirmed some Cornish clotted cream too!
This really set the tone for the entire holiday, everything was done just a little bit nicer or better than it needed to be. On every occasion our expectations were not just met, they were surpassed. When it came to checking out I could barely contain my delight with the experience and told the owners how delighted we were and what a fabulous time we had all enjoyed. I have already provided a recommendation to someone and can only praise the experience for completely exceeding my expectations
