Starting with the proposed informal Mediterranean tapas style for the restaurant presented our design team with ample creative avenues in beginning with the logo and overall branding style. Once agreed the tasks came thick and fast in creating concepts and designs for every aspect of the restaurant’s visual appearance.
The menus were designed in a light-hearted, shabby-chic style and printed very simply on light-weight paper to give a tactile and informal feel to the product to suit the restaurant concept. A bespoke chalk board-style specials menu was also created to give the impression of authentic hand written specials board with interchangeable course options.
Bespoke bottle labels for various oils, olive selections and pots were produced on self-adhesive vinyl, which were cut to shape using our full colour solvent print-and-cut machine. All waiting and kitchen staff are required to wear branding work-wear, from aprons and chef hats, through to waiting staff shirts and we were able to brand and print these using a combination of printing methods alongside our heat-pressing equipment for garment decoration.
The restaurant’s interior decoration needed some visual additions and so we were tasked with producing large format mounted prints of various Mediterranean fruits and vegetables to add to the feel. These were printed on self-adhesive vinyl which was subsequently laminated with a soft-touch textured film and then installed using brushed steel stand-offs for a modern finish.
Our work is ongoing at Brasserie Azure as this is an evolving brand, but the finishing touch to the opening project was to create a simple yet effective website that provides the feel and ambience of this unique dining experience as well as offering all of the information required by a potential customer.
